Be Like the Sun
A story I’ve meant to tell you,
but lost on a tip of tongue,
perhaps a tale from the old days—
days when both of us were young.
Or then a story of lover, maybe,
or the one who got away,
or regrets that turned to poison,
with each and every day.
I swear I thought I told you,
my memory, it’s fading fast,
but unlike the sun and moon,
it was never meant to last.
Moral of the story: humans like to live and think in the past. It’s only when we near our end on planet earth that we come to realize what a waste of energy and power that is. Be more like the sun and moon and rise new everyday.
